To begin can be scary

Have you started your New Years Resolution?

Perhaps you were up late last night preparing frozen meals, organizing shelves, taking notes for the first day in 2019 or maybe you laid around and spent quality time laughing with your family.

Either way, we all have goals when we begin something new.


The trends and the repetitive repeats of the year before.

Aren’t you sick of setting the same goals every year? Either not reaching them, half reaching them or perhaps, you did actually achieve them.

Good for you!

For those of you, like myself, that start and stop frequently in life by overfilling your “perfection plate.

Trust when I say, “You are not on that wagon alone.”

However, this year I was hoping to encourage others like myself. Too hop off that old wagon and hurdle onto the new one that is actually moving!


Did you know that this is the very last teen of our century? The last teen in your lifetime.

It may not seem like some huge ordeal and perhaps it really is not.

However, sometimes believing something is your last, somehow makes you want to reach for it a little bit more.

Kind of like the theory of, you want what you can’t have.

But, it is not here nor there.

What it is about is, you. This year, it is about kicking your own ass.

If that is physically for you, get on it!

If that is mentally for you, seek it!

If that is emotionally for you, dig for it!

You truly have the power inside of you even when you feel like you don’t.

You are human and it is absolutely normal and natural to simply just feel like you can’t.

But, what I am here to tell you is, you can!

I used to think, that putting a ton of shit on my plate was the best way to get all the things done.

I used to think, that by shooting for 10 things I was stronger or smarter somehow.

I used to…

But this year, this year we can change all we have ever known and done.

Because this year, there is belief like never before. There is passion and there is fire inside of you!

Can you feel it?!

Stop going against what you know your meant to do or be! Don’t worry about what everyone or even that one person will think.

The only persons opinion that matters about you, is yours!

You can never truly be your genuine self if all you do is hide behind a shadow of someone you are not.


Here are some personal tips on how to start and move towards your wanted direction.

  1. Figure out what you want.

I know this is tough. I’m aware it’s the hardest part. But dig deep, soul search and figure out what is burning inside of you. The thing you can not live without. You do not need to be great at this thing. You just have to have a big enough passion and hunger to go after it.

2. How will you get it? Blue print the plan.

No, you do not need to be an architect to blue print your process. You simply need a pencil, some paper and a vision. What is the first step to getting your # 1? I’m not talking about taking the first step here. Simply just writing or drawing it out first. There is SERIOUS magic in writing things down.

Is it changing your attitude?

Is it changing your friends?

Is it adding more nutrition?

Is it implementing more self talk?

How will you get what you want? Figure this out and the next step comes easier.

3. Take the first step

The scariest part. At least for me personally.

Actually, following through with all the things that were just written down is freaky all by itself.

Probably asking yourself, “Am I seriously going to do this?” “Is this actually going to even work?”

Been there and guess what?

You will never know unless you TRY!

So stop allowing FEAR and DOUBT to stop you from everything you DESERVE!

Which takes me to my last tip.

4. Get good at filtering your thoughts

Before you speak, think. Because our reality becomes what we create.

If we are constantly feeding ourselves doubt through thoughts.

Well my friends, I will just tell you now that you will spin your plates for a long time by doing so.

You disservice yourself and all those around you by speaking poorly. By thinking poorly.

We are what we feel and we become what we surround ourself with physically and mentally.

I know this might seem a bit deep and weird to wrap up my last tip this way.

But, it’s truth and if you don’t start taking the filter process more seriously. You will self destruct before you even flip the switch to try.

Believe in yourself. Believe in the power of you!

Always remember that being intentional with everything you do can be life altering.

  • Donate as much as possible
  • Attend church regularly
  • Makeup application & Beauty world
  • YouTube channel growth
  • Take walks outside and alone again. This has been a struggle since my anxiety took over.
  • Better nutrition and self care for the inside of my body.
  • Read more and take more notes

NUMBER ONE IS THE GOAL FOR 2019!

The rest are things I plan on working on and getting better at with application and time.

15 Ideas to be a Happier Stay at home Mom

Over the time that I have been a Full-time stay at home mom. I have come to some realizations. Some of those things not being so fun to face or even deal with. However, there are still many things that are positive and endearing about being a stay at home mom. I just had to learn how to work through the changes that I had never had because I am a First-time mom. Then again I believe we are always learning. I hear that even after the first one, you still end up learning a million new things because of how different each kid really is. Maybe down the road ill know what that’s like.

So, here I wanted to share some things that I found have been helpful for me to be happier through my long, trying, but blessed days as a stay at home mom. Some of these things may or may not work for you. Heck! maybe not a single one will help you feel better at all. But, I truly believe that this list can benefit. even if its just one mom, and you choose one tip from my list. it is worth it!

Here is the List of my 15 ideas to being a Happier Stay at home Mom:

1. Daily Affirmations– Okay, we all know that every single day as humans we struggle keeping up with life. It is just the way it is. So much to do in so little time, right? Wrong. I believe there is ALWAYS time to look in the mirror for 15 seconds and tell yourself something positive about YOU. One sentence, or two. Repeat. Repeat. Tell yourself you are a Superhero and your gonna kick today’s butt. That nothing is gonna get you down! Go ahead. Do it.

2.Read, Watch or Listen to something that makes you laugh– This is so important folks. Being sure we laugh on a day to day is medicine for our souls. I don’t feel like you should even question this one. Just be sure to take 30 seconds in your day and find something funny.
3.Get outside– So we all know about the Vitamin D theory. Which is absolutely true and I believe to be very necessary. However, I think it is the fresh air that is the real secret. If you don’t believe me. Do this task: Go outside for 15 minutes every single day. Sit, walk, run, or just go play with your child. Do that for 30 days straight. Get back to me and let me know how you feel.
4.Dress in something you Love– You need to be sure you are wearing at least one piece of clothing you love. No, I don’t mean do this every single day. I know that is just not realistic. Ha Ha! But this is a great tip when you are feeling off or down any day of the week. Put something you love on and be sure to tell your self just how good you look in it! Go, girl!
5.Eat-Well I know I am completely guilty of not doing this. But we all know this is vital for being a Mom that is home all day. It is easy to reach for the goldfish or the graham cracker that is half eaten. When you run around chasing a child all day you find yourself guilty of eating a lot of random items. However, what I mean by EAT is, eat real food. Nutrition. Food that is substance and will give sustainable energy. Yes, I am talking about fruits and veggies. The stuff I know takes time to prep and clean. But I assure you that you’ll feel better in a week after being consistent and nice to your body.
6.Stay Hydrated– Being hydrated means being energized. It also means your going to make a million bathroom trips. But, at least you’ll be hydrated and able to maintain energy levels. Oh, and your skin stays much clearer! Bonus!
7.Caffeine– Okay so this might counteract the clear skin. But I am only human. Which is why I need caffeine. I believe only robot parents do not need it. If you are a one of those, stay away from me you freak me out. So be sure you take the time to enjoy that cup of coffee, moms.
8.Make a daily chore list– Maintaining a household is a lot of work. But I promise you that you’ll have anxiety if the house is in disarray. ( If you don’t already) Look, I know the house gets messy. But if we maintain the actual cleaning (I’m not talking about the toys scattered aimlessly around the house) it will help shorten Sundays cleaning list. The toys are going to be there for years. What is important is not to leave the stains on the walls and the goo on the floors. Not just because its gross. But because…well yeah, basically just because its gross. Ha
9.Clean Bedding– I swear to this. At night after a long and trying day. There is something magical about clean and fresh sheets.
10.Lipstick! So this is something you might laugh at and I understand if you do. You don’t know what you don’t know. Ha Ha. But no joke as a stay at home mom I can sometimes not feel so fancy. But that right shade on my lips if I feel a mess. It helps me grasp some confidence for my day. That alone makes lipstick a priority in my life.
11.Open windows and let the light in. Even crack the window and let in some fresh air! Because sometimes this is the closest to outside we can get as a SAHM.
12.Buy yourself some flowers– Because fresh flowers can always make anyone smile. It has a sense of brightening your day. Don’t wait around for someone to do it for you. Seek the enlightenment and place it in your environment all on your own. You will feel good you did.
13.Make a list of all the things you are Thankful for– This is PROVEN to make ANYONE happier!
14.Music!! – This is an absolute must. I believe everyone should have this time carved out in each day. As well as making it a priority for even 5-10 minutes of music time. Not just driving in your car listening. I mean actually listening and only listening too the music. It has a sense of healing behind it. No matter the situation or feeling.
15.Smile– Our actions become our habits and our habits become our reality. You can absolutely train yourself to be happy.
Plus it feels good when you walk around smiling, sharing that joy with others will naturally make you feel good.

The First Blog I Ever Wrote…

Day One -Another busted lip
12-4-17 (FIRST EVER WRITTEN BLOG)

Started the day at 6:30 am on the couch.
See guys, when you have a toddler who is seriously as stubborn as a bull, and just won’t give in to NOT co-sleeping. The results are that Ryan (husband) and I, now take turns co-sleeping. That’s real talk. We take turns on our VERY uncomfortable couch, just so we can get uninterrupted sleep. Still uncomfortable. But, not interrupted. (Pick your battles guys)

Gracie was still asleep and we forgot to set the camera up facing the bed so that I wouldn’t have to do exactly what I had to do. Which was go downstairs, and lay in the bed with her (awake) until she woke up.(Safety first )
Dad leaves at 7:15 am.
Gracie finally wakes at 7:30 am.

This is a relief in a way, you guys. Because I hate, hate laying around when I’m wide awake. Anyone else?
I know, I should take advantage of the “resting” moments. But that’s just not me.

Breakfast happening by 8 am. Bath time shortly after and then as 9:30 am rolls around, Gracie and I are finding ourselves bored, and having the 4 wall syndrome. (Stuck in a House)

So, we packed up and went too, grandmas. ❤️ (thank god she’s down the street)
As I write this, I am laughing because no one is following me yet and so I sorta feel like I am just basically journaling to myself.

Anyways, back too subject.

10:30 am and we are headed back home. Nice visit. Yeah, trips are normally short with a toddler. I don’t make the rules. The toddler does apparently.

Just kidding. I needed a shower. (Which I haven’t gotten still. it’s 2:48 pm) (BIG SIGH)

12:25 pm Gracie takes her nap of the day. Well, we are hoping for ONE NAP. But she makes the rules. Duh.
Wakes up at 1:47 pm.
Kid, you did not sleep long enough. I say that with love. She just needs rest.

Is anyone else working on nap transition, with a heavy dose of multiple molars popping? Anyone??
Lunch. blah blah. Turkey dogs and Strawberries. Yeah, I was an overachiever today.

But hey, I did make an excellent breakfast! I assure you. Oh, and dinners in the crockpot. (The machine that cooks for you. Such a beautiful invention)
3:02 pm, Gracie is doing work. She does this thing where she hides when she is going poop.
Well, she thinks she is hiding but then I can see her through the curtains. She thinks it is funny to wrap around inside the drapes. It is not funny. At least she cannot know it is. Ha Ha.
Okay, moving on.

Seriously will never understand why toddler poop smells like a LEGIT out-house. Like how does it resemble SO well?! Lmao
So Gracie and I are just waiting for Daddy to get home from work. Another 45 minutes or so until we get to hang. She and I decided that snap chat would be fun. (Well I did)
4: 15 pm and daddy’s home! Time to get dinner going! Thank you crock pot!

Oh my Lord that was SO good.
Okay, so routine puts us at 5:20 currently and it’s pajama time for Gracie.
Ryan and I are hoping too fit in at least one of our shows tonight.
(High hopes)

Shoot, a reminder just was given to me. I have to go set up the camera for the morning. (Mom Brain) HERE I GO…

Shoot the Christmas lights also need hung up in the front window. Do chores ever end as an adult? Let alone a parent?

The camera is up! 6: 06 pm what a fast chore.
Window lights are on hold until tomorrow. For now some good ol family time.

Awesome yet unfortunate last-minute input. Gracie just fell into the laundry basket and busted her top lip.
Mind you, this is the second time. She just busted her lip last week hitting the coffee table. (Which is now gone!)
